Grief can bring a lot of things into the lives of men. One is the feeling of hopelessness, uselessness, and worthlessness. However, most people try to fight these feelings in a lot of ways.

In this entertaining novel, we see the life of a middle-aged woman who lost her husband to the cold hands of death. After this tragic loss, she goes through every emotion death can bring to a woman; all that and much more. While reminiscing, inspiration strikes, and she decides to throw a party. How can she throw a party when she has just lost her husband? People experience grief in many different ways.

A beautiful thing about this book is how very close it is to reality; a perfectly narrated example of what happens in the face of death.

Death is cold, sad and final, and in the face of it, people find a way to cope with its reality. The planned party turns out to be much more, a medium for her to bond with others and cope with her new sad reality. A compelling and profoundly thoughtful book.
