In West Africa, AI is used in various fields such as health, agriculture, finance and security. While AI can offer considerable benefits, it can also have an impact on human rights. The aim of creating artificial intelligence (AI) is to develop computer systems capable of performing tasks that normally require human intelligence. AI aims to reproduce certain human cognitive abilities such as perception, reasoning, learning, planning and decision-making. AI applications are vast and can include areas such as speech recognition, computer vision, machine translation, autonomous vehicles, virtual assistants and much more. It is important that governments and companies using AI take these recommendations into account to ensure that human rights are not violated.
