Little better than a coffee table book

Even if your library is full of similar books, each one of these brings uniqueness and a different view to your understanding of “Art Treasures in the British Isles.” The endpapers give overlaying maps of the various treasure locations. The pages are well-referenced. There are plenty of color plates. Some of the highlights are: The introduction by Sir Philip Hendy Celtic art objects Man's famous and infamous structures through the ages. History is more interesting than objects.
