Art of Lies

By Alex Rhetters

When Virgilio Vugteveen blows into the town of Castillo, he believes he's found a simple, profitable scam: start an art club, have the locals create paintings, sell the paintings, and then pocket the funds.

But what he underestimated were the people themselves: A restless housewife decides Virgilio is her way out of poverty. A line cook mistakes Virgilio for a decent human being. And the entire community thinks Virgilio is just a cool out-of-towner who likes art. Suddenly, Virgilio is juggling two relationships and a scam.

Virgilio has glided through life on lies and charm. He has avoided consequences at every turn. But how much longer can he do this?
