This inaugural issue of Art Frontier presents a wide-ranging exploration of contemporary art from East Asia and beyond, with a particular emphasis on academic and philosophical inquiry. The journal includes thought-provoking essays in art theory, criticism, art history, and design, featuring artists and scholars such as Zhang Yu, Fred Martin, Dao Zi, and Ren Jian. Topics span from existential aesthetics and experimental ink art to the intertextuality of Han Dynasty imagery and modern design paradigms. Through a combination of visual analysis, cultural reflection, and artistic innovation, the issue highlights the dynamic intersection between traditional heritage and contemporary creativity in the global art landscape.
