Arson Can Be Murder is the sixth book in the Galveston mystery series featuring amateur sleuths Sister Catherine Malloy and her niece, Gina. Several years have passed since the two women have encountered the face of evil, but that is about to change. Sister Catherine, a psychologist, is asked by her friend, June Rogers, for help involving June's daughter, Sally and her boyfriend, Boyd Franklin. This assistance leads them all into dangerous waters. At about the same time, Sister Catherine's long-ago fianc , John Green, arrives in Galveston with a group he has organized to speak at a burn seminar being held on the island. Each member of the group has suffered a tragedy related to fire, and at least one member of the group is harboring a secret, and a deep desire for revenge. These two events converge and result in putting both the nun and her niece in jeopardy, leaving their brother-in-law and police captain, Richard Tierney, to try to help them uncover the truth. Was it arson...and was it murder?
