Eduart Leka, an Albanian immigrant in Greece and a burglary gang member, kills someone in Athens in attempt to defend himself from the homeowner. He manages to escape from the police by going back to Albania. He ends up in prison there for another burglary. It is in prison that he hears the new of salvation by believing in Jesus. Being in a dilemma whether to believe in Jesus or not, the prison gates open and he is given freedom as a result of the political events in Albania which led to a civil war. In his room, Eduart doubts whether Jesus is God and whether Jesus can forgive his sins and asks for a sign from heaven. A miracle happens and Eduart cries and believes in the forgiveness of sins through Jesus. His life transforms, but he has to obey to God's Word, to subdue to the power and law. He decides to surrender to the Greek Police for the crime committed 9 years ago, with the desire of sharing the Gospel in the prison as well. The police and other people consider him crazy, but do put him in custody. In the trial Eduart declares that he is now "free". After 5 years and 9 months he gain his freedom and starts serving in a Christian prison Group and share the good news with the prisoners, a dream he always had.
