Life In The 18Th Century For An Amish Community

Arms of Love is a historical story of an Amish settlement located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which was once William Penns Woods, during the Revolutionary War, in the year 1777. It tells how the Amish faced persecution by Patriots and British. The Patriots and British are taking goods from this small settlement for the sake of war. Some of the young Amish men are leaving their faith to fight and defend for freedom. Adam Wyse is one of these young Amish men who is considering fighting, because of a vow that he made to his sweetheart, Lena Yoder, dying mother. Arms of Love also tells the hardships and dangers that the peace loving Amish faced in order to survive in this primitive New World.
