Book Overview

A Time Best YA Book of All Time (2021) This Printz Honor Book is a "tender, honest exploration of identity" (Publishers Weekly) that distills lyrical truths about family and friendship. Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that...

Favorite Book in A While

I just absolutely loved this book. It leaves a feeling of fulfillment and curiosity at the end of every chapter. Easily relatable.

Absolutely Beautiful

This lyrical, emotional, real book is a masterpiece. It is one if the best books I’ve ever read. It changed my life. I highly recommend it.

Fake copy

I received a fake copy and I am very disappointed.

Worth a read.

This book suddenly switches gears midway through and the transition is awkward. The ending, though very touching, is implausibe. Otherwise the book was fine.

Beautiful and moving, worth a second read!

I read this entire book in two sittings. I just kept hanging on to see how things were going to happen. So many emotions. It honestly made me cry about three times by the end. It is AMAZING. Definitely a must read and 100% in agreement with all the awards it’s won. Beautiful story.

Brilliant book!

This book has a sweet and touching story about two queer boys coming to terms with each other and themselves. It’s a compelling story that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys reading about complex characters and unapologetic themes.

A wonderful book about discovering yourself

Aritotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe sends a message about self-discovery. It isn’t written wonderfully, and tells that it’s okay to love who you love.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters were very real and very likable and the issues the book delves into from their perspective are presented in such an honest way. The book takes place over the course of a couple years and so I really enjoyed watching the characters grow and watching the evolution of friendship between Aristotle and Dante. I highly recommend reading this book!
