Harper Foxe works at the local university and seems like an average guy, but he's been given him something very special to walk through this world with. Because of this Harper's life is being petitioned for destruction by evil forces. A Mega-church under the authority of Judah Bastiles is not what it would seem to be as it hides in plain sight. This dark church wants Harper to commit suicide. Judah implements a snowball effect through a sequence of demonic influences that will lead Harper to his demise. Ashley Smith is an ambitious witch working as a nurse in the local hospital. Ashleys under Pastor Judah's authority and she's been commissioned to come alongside Harper while a fallen angel named Mastema and his demonic descendants seek to influence his life. These dead Nephilim and Rephaim children of Mastema choreograph events to bring Harper into union with specific emotional and physical sin. This is the key to his self destruction. Arise Sleeper provides beautiful imagery and page turning suspense while it wrestles with difficult issues that life gives us such as tragedy, suffering, addiction, and fleshly desires. It also offers a one of a kind view into the world of spiritual warfare and how that effects our everyday lives as we seek to understand God and our place in this world.
