The story is about an inquisitive little girl named Ari. She wants to know all about the world around her. In particular she wants to know about scientiFic phenomenon. Her parents are both scientists, so they help answer Ari's questions. A single question will form the theme of each book. As Ari learns, the reader learns along with her. Her parents work for a giant tech company that built a Play Lab for her to play in and learn about the world. As the story progresses, more of the scientists will have children that will join Ari in the Play Lab. Each story functions as a teaching tool for parents.
