Waller Workshop Manual for all models of Ariel motorcycles built between 1933 and 1951. Applicable to the following rigid and spring frame, girder and telescopic fork models: 1933 to 1951 Four cylinder: 4/F/600cc OHC, 4/F/600cc OHV, 4/G/1,000cc OHV (Cast Iron & Light Alloy). 1948 to 1951 Twin cylinder: 500cc OHV models KG & KH. 1938 to 1951 Single cylinder: 600cc SV model VB. 500cc OHV models VG & VH. 350cc OHV models NH & NG. 250cc OHV models OH, OG, LG & LH. Much of the data is also applicable to both the earlier and later variants of these same models.Most Ariel enthusiasts are aware that the company was purchased by BSA in 1944. However, it continued to exist in the motorcycle marketplace as a 'stand-alone' manufacturer up until 1951 at which time it was merged into the BSA product line and production of the 'true' Ariel motorcycle ended. While some of the original Ariel models continued in production (by BSA) up until 1959, the product line became heavily influenced under BSA ownership with models such as the 1954 'Huntmaster' which utilized a BSA A10 650cc engine in an Ariel frame. In 1959 BSA discontinued all Ariel four-stroke models and focused on the two-stroke market with the introduction of the Ariel Leader and Arrow series. However, it was not until 1967 that BSA ended production of all Ariel badged motorcycles.EARLY MODELS UP TO 1939: Owners of the pre-war models are directed to either 'The Book of the Vintage Ariel up to 1932' ISBN 9781588502285 and/or 'The Book of the 1932-1939 Ariel' ISBN 9781588500922 both of which cover the pre-war singles and four cylinder models.
