A verse play. Two characters. Ardrake, the king of the known world, has set out to conquer the unknown bits, but as fate would have it a tempest has shipwrecked him on a desert island for forty years. Haunted by visions of his evil twin brother Wurg, Ardrake staves off madness by recounting his grandiose conquests and triumphs to his imagined courtiers. But when Wurg, his brother, washes ashore, Ardrake slips fully into madness. Wurg, however, is not the evil twin we have been lead to believe, but rather a doting brother who has spent 40 years searching for his beloved twin. Pretending to be a vision, Wurg attempts to pull his brother out of madness and to discover the source of the enmity between them. Their reconciliation comes with moments to spare, as this comic tragedy ends in dramatic fashion
