As he stepped in, his heart froze. A massive SPIDER loomed in the center of the room. The details of its body were alarmingly visible - from the tiny, coarse hairs covering its eight legs to the multiple gleaming red eyes that seemed to pierce right through him. Its very presence seemed to suck the warmth out of the room. The sight of the gargantuan arachnid freezes him in his tracks, and after a moment of paralyzing fear, he lets out a deafening scream.
But as Jake turns to flee the room, something feels off. The room itself seems enormous, distorted. The doorway, which he had easily stepped through moments ago, now towers like a monumental arch before him. Looking down, a jolt of horror surged through him. Instead of the familiar two hands he expected, he saw multiple hairy limbs protruding from his body. Eight in total. They moved with a twitchy rhythm that was foreign yet somehow under his control. His heart raced as the realization set in. He had transformed into a spider. The previously "giant" spider wasn't enormous; Jake was simply smaller, a young spider seeing the world from a terrifyingly new perspective. Panic and dread consumed him, the weight of the transformation pressing down on his now minuscule frame. The very essence of what he once feared had become his reality.
