The present work aimed to evaluate the production of lettuce grown in aquaponic and hydroponic systems with different types of substrates. The experiment was conducted using a randomised block design, with two treatments corresponding to the production systems and three treatments corresponding to the cultivation substrates. The substrates used were: coconut husk fibre (CF), expanded vermiculite (VE), and phenolic foam (EF). The cultivation systems used were: hydroponic system and aquaponic system The experiment was conducted in two crop cycles. The crop used was lettuce cv. Alcione of the curly type.
