Violet is much like many other clever girls, with a normal life in her cozy little farmhouse. That is, until she chases her cat through a puddle in her root cellar on her ninth birthday. The puddle, as it turns out, is no ordinary puddle, but a portal to the land of Aqualava - a glimmering world of half-creatures.
