Big slow philosophical questions

The first 30 minutes are awful, slow music and hokey what-if questions. Where is the action? Finally, action; he cleans the dust off everything. Now, things are starting to fall apart, and problems snowball. It is about time. Slow talking, finally not so much slow background music, but it is still there. More hokey contemplation, confessions, and despair. Will the captain be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat, or is that it? What would you do?
