"Appreciating Dance" executes its goal incredibly well

As long as humanity has had music, they have had dance. "Appreciating Dance: A guide to the World's Liveliest Art" serves as a scholarly introductory primer to give people the information they need to know to truly appreciate this ancient form of expression. With a focus on modern dance and the people who have made dance what it is, it does well in covering the wide scope of dance making for an intriguing read for anyone who wants to better understand modern dance. "Appreciating Dance" executes its goal incredibly well, highly recommended.

good

I recieved this product in the condition stated and in very goood time. I am nothing but happy

Good text for dance appreciation class.

Achievable, comprehensive, well-paced. This is a small and affordable text which students enjoy, and is a good companion if you will be viewing many dance videos and movies in your course. The author gives questions for discussion, as well as an extensive list of suggested videos and movies. It works well with the PBS video series, Dancing. Students noted that it would be more helpful if the discussion questions were inserted at the end of each chapter rather than at the end of the book, but not an insurmountale problem.
