The purpose of this material is to spark discussion and debate, further academic study, and potential agreement about institutionalizing fundamental teaching/training (academics) baseline skills. Past and present related literature suggests there are no standard baseline skills identified and taught to teachers/trainers (academics), Datar, Garvin, & Cullen, 2010. The "overarching theory" for this work is: ALL PROFESSIONAL ACADEMICS "MUST" BE IN POSSESSION OF THE SAME "COMMON CORE" SKILLS. The skills of planning, leading, organizing, coordinating, and controlling must be realized across academics, practitioners, and practical organizations as theorized by Henri Fayol (1949) and other academics/practitioners. The "research question" is, do teachers/trainers need standard, fundamental, baseline skills for professional practice (praxis)?
