Appalachian Girl is a story about my life growing up in rural West Virginia. I'll take you on a timeline adventure about my life growing up in a small tight-knit community where we had good days, bad days, and many lessons learned. The state of West Virginia is beautiful and growing up there in the sixties and seventies was very challenging, adventurous, and life-changing for me. Most of this book is fact with a little fiction thrown in there but please believe me it happened and it happened to me and my family. This book will help folks understand what it feels like to be a poor little Appalachian girl and the struggles and adversities she faced in life to get to where she is now.
