The novella series follows Apothis, a human with angelic wings and strange symbols on his body, as he navigates a technologically advanced world called Dexetria. He lives on a floating island called an Atmostation, where the buildings grow like trees and are shrouded in a thick fog. The inhabitants, called Xonto, are a hybrid of apes, rats, and wolves with a culture that combines Indian and Asian influences. Apothis's actions are driven by his loyalty to his friends, Markin, Jakul, and Kristo, and his quest to defeat the main villain, Krotisvjorm, who is the physical manifestation of Entropy and Decay. Along the way, Apothis and his team face off against other powerful enemies like Rensiin, a deformed Xonto who can control the fog, and uncover the truth behind the creation of their world and the role of a powerful machine god called Moltivi.
