Apocalypse of the Month Club

The world ends every month in a new way. We used to live for that day. It was when the latest issue of Apocalypse of the Month arrived in Jack's mailbox. There are no profound truths or statements about the nature of our world. It's just a lighthearted look at death and mayhem in the form of a graphic novel. It isn't real, but it's a lot of fun.

Or so we thought.

Everything changed in September. It started when Mr. D turned into a werewolf right in front of the whole class. I know... only slightly worse than a typical day in high school, right? But then Mean Marty turned vampire, and half the gym class went dinosaur. It was exactly like the stories. All of them. All at once.

On the bright side, school was pretty much cancelled.

You probably won't believe this story really happened and I don't blame you. Tell yourself it's just fiction if you like. But my friends and I saved the world and we think it's a story worth telling. Maybe a few will believe. That matters, because it could happen again. And really, how often do you get a chance to save the world?
