Doctor Simms sat down on a rolling chair and scooted it over to the couch where Andrew sat. She looked at her clipboard and pulled a pen from her lab coat pocket.
" Have you experienced any health problems that you didn't have previous to your sessions on the machine? Anything that you would attribute to your sessions?" asked Dr. Simms.
" No. There's a little disorientation after the session, but it's tolerable." said Andrew.
" Nothing else? No night sweats? Chills? Paranoia? Fears that you didn't experience previously?" asked Dr. Simms.
" No. Nothing like that."
" Good. Do you experience any visions when you're off of the machine?" asked Dr. Simms.
" No."
" Visions while dreaming or excessively real dream states?" asked Dr. Simms.
" Yes. I've experienced both of those. But once again it's tolerable and it's always gone by the time of my next session."
" Good. Do you experience any hallucinations? Either during the day or at night?" asked Dr. Simms.
" No. Nothing like that."
" Good. It's likely that you'll experience some strange visual effects over the next couple of days but it will subside. Let me know if this becomes extreme or doesn't go away." said Dr. Simms.
" Okay." said Andrew.
" Do you experience the feeling of visitation? Either while awake or in your sleep?" asked Dr. Simms.
" Visitation? No. What do you mean by visitation?" asked Andrew.
" A presence. The feeling that you are not alone in your vision state?" asked Dr. Simms.
" No. I don't feel that." said Andrew.
Dr. Simms made notations on her clipboard.
" Do you ever feel the presence of a deity? Either during or after your sessions?" asked Dr. Simms.
" A deity?"
Andrew shifted his gaze to look directly into Dr. Simms eyes. She didn't flinch or turn her eyes away. She was deadly serious.
