Mile high glaciers melted after the last ice age here filling the Great Lakes. The torrents of melting ice flowed south to the Gulf of Mexico. Etching the winding channel that would someday inspire Mark Twain and Notorious B.I.G. "Straight down the Mississippi and up the East coast" Notorious B1, Google it.

I grew up between the Mississippi and the St. Croix, just before they merge. In a development dreamed up by a man named Orin Thompson and his architecture firm. Though I doubt he could have fully imagined the interesting and sometimes tragic stories that would take place on his 2 x 4 framed plywood stages.
