Anuarite is a play based on the last words of a Roman Catholic Nun named Blessed Marie-Clementine Anuarite Nengapeta (1939-1964). She was assassinated in her nunnery in the Democratic Republic of Congo while resisting an attempted rape by Simba rebels. Pop Jean Paul II beatified her in 1985 and forgave her killers the same way she did before she dies. The author has created this play from his imagination at it has nothing to do with the life of Anuarite, but it is centered on her forgiveness to her killers.
