An antifungal medication, also known as an antimycotic medication, is a pharmaceutical fungicide or fungistatic used to treat and prevent mycosis such as athlete's foot, ringworm, candidiasis, serious systemic infections such as cryptococcal meningitis, and others. The purpose of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of any drugs is to confirm the identity of a drug and provide quantitative results, and also to monitor the progress of the therapy of a disease.
