Anthropo-Sociological and Legal Approaches

Death is as old as the world because it is the last stage of human life. In fact, it can strike the individual in different ways, among which we can mention murder. In the scientific literature, this phenomenon has been the subject of several approaches and studies. Indeed, according to the Lexicon of Legal Terms, murder is defined as "intentional homicide", that is to say "the action of voluntarily killing a human being "1 . However, in Haiti, a person is said to be killed by processes that are not natural facts verifiable by science in its current state. In the Haitian universe, several terms are used in Creole: zombi, kout poud, bann sanpw?l, kout flach, lamen monte, etc. These murders are linked to the "mystical" universe. This is why we have chosen to put murder and mysticism together. Thus, our work will consist of an anthroposociological approach to mystical murder in Haiti.
