Anthem to Hope, by K.J. Kulinowski356 pageAnthem to Hope is an historical fiction surrounding a key figure in WWII history, Pope Pius XII who is, to this day, cloaked in controversy. Three individuals try to prove or disprove his actions during the holocaust years. Did he or did he not do enough to save the lives of millions? Was he an anti-semite or was he a hero to the Jews? Was he friendly to the Third Reich or did he work behind the scenes to destroy their ungodly pursuits? Anthem to Hope chronicles the lives of two Jewish holocaust survivors and a brave Polish Gentile, Danuta Ronska. The survivors, a rabbi and his wife, go about the unlikely crusade of championing the cause for the canonization of Pius XII. They meet with opposition and skepticism along the way, but their own survivals were factors compelling them to drive on. Anthem to Hope also tells the story of the Soviet occupation of Poland and the many brave souls who brought communism to its knees in Poland 1989. It matters not if you are a Jew or a Gentile, young or old, Pole or any other heritage. What matters is the real truth about two of the darkest periods of man's history in the twentieth century. Read this book if you are skeptic or a believer. With truth comes hope; hope leads us to the promise of a world restored.
