Answer Your Call

By Maryse Balthazar

God bestows talents to men and women. We are trained and become experts to fulfill the purpose God set for us. The natural world is clear to us, but God can also give us spiritual gifts, which may not be transparent.

God brought David a shepherd, from taking care of sheep to be the king of Israel. He was a fine ruler, his talents exceeded leadership. God sculpted David to an accomplished Psalms writer.

Deborah was a prophet and judge for the Israelites. God worked through her to free Israel from their oppressors. Her prophetic visions were crucial to a victory that led Israel to 40 years of peace.

Through these examples we can see how God's gifts can lead to amazing things. They were willing to answer when God called them. We also can do the same as the Holy Spirit leading us along the way.

My name is Maryse Balthazar, I am from Haiti and currently reside in New York City with my family. Like many Christians, I am called by God to serve him and his people. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God's gift was manifested in me. From a prayer warrior in the church, to a volunteer to help the needy in the community and even at work as a health care worker. The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, patience, humility and self-control through all I do. The Lord put it in me to write this book, and I hope his word will be a blessing to anyone who comes across this text.
