The short phrase, "The Words of Christ in red" is embossed on the covers of many Bibles and printed on the first few pages. We can use these red letters to know tell when Jesus is speaking when we read the Bible.

These red letters are a convenience as well as an inspiration. Because all of the words in the Bible are inspired and written for all believers, we know that Jesus is speaking personally to everyone who takes the time to read the Bible.

A red letter day on our calendars denotes a special day - a holiday. We think of the significance of these days in our lives as we spend them with family and friends. The red letters of Jesus in the Bible show the "specialness" of spending special red letter days with Him.
