The drawings are not so great in this book.

I ordered this colouring book for my 9 year old daughter, who is currently reading Anne of Green Gables for school and enjoying it very much. When it came I was rather disappointed. The drawings are not very good - the one of the cover is by far the nicest drawing, the ones inside the book are really not very skillfully done, I'm sorry to say. Plus, much of the book is taken up with text - it's more like this is a very condensed version of the original story, with some lackluster illustrations thrown in. I can't see any child really wanting to bother colouring illustrations that are so unattractive and lacking in interesting detail. It's surprising because Dover usually has excellent artwork in their colouring books; but not this one.
