This is just what it appears as a self-confessed documentary.

Anna Netrebko gives her views on what music is all about and what she's trying to accomplish. It would not be so bad if they didn't give it in sound bite format, or we get little bits of this and little bits of that out of order. This film also has tidbits here and there of fluff that are just fillers, unnecessary, and distracting. On the other hand, she is a great opera singer, and she does very well in the few snippets that she does or sings. Also, a plus is that she can say in a few sentences what takes other people's books to describe what she is about to sing. The five music video excerpts from: 1. Charles Francois Gounod’s “Faust” "Les grands seigneurs ont seuls des airs...Ah! je ris de me voir" (Jewel Song) 2. Giacomo Puccini's "La Boheme" "Quando me'n vo' (Musetta's Waltz)" 3. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Don Giovanni" "Crudele? - Ah no, mio bene! Non mi dir" 4. Vincenzo Bellini's "La Sonnambula" "Care compagne, et voi, ternei amici" 5. Antonin Dvorak's "Rusalka" "Mesicku na nebli hlubokem" (Song to the Moon) This DVD really should be just the extras on her other DVDs
