I bought this book probably the year it came out or in 2001. Not sure. I haven't kayaked in about 7 years but still have them and I recently pulled this book off the shelf. I decided to see if there was a new version. There is not, of course, but I was surprised to see how much everybody is charging for the book and that there are no reviews for it. I got it for $19.99 and it is a wonderful reference. I used it as my kayaking bible back then and if I finally get going again I'll use it now. I bought many kayaking books back then but this was always my favorite and sooooo easy to use. You can't go wrong with it!!
