He chuckled but I didn't understand what was so funny.

"Well, an affinity is something you have deep within you. Something that makes you special. For example..." He held out his hand and I watched as little sparks of electricity bounced around it.

At only twenty-years old, Andi Grell has not only witnessed the murder of her parents, but also dealt with the abuse she indured from her uncle, who wanted to use her as a weapon. When she finally escaped him, she wanted nothing more than to live a normal life, hiding her affinities from everyone.

One fateful day, she is kidnapped and brought to the hidden country of Anivail. But upon arrival, she loses all memory of her past and who she was. She is told that Anivail is a safe haven for those with affinities like her.

All seemed good and well as she slowly remembers who she was, while also making new friends.

But all is brought to a halt when a group that calls themselves the Syndicate, rises up and tries to overtake Anivail.

Andi is then roped into helping save Anivail with her new friends and everything in her life begins to connect in ways she never thought they would.
