Gripping and thought provoking

I finished the book in a pretty short time. The middle parts gave me a chill and excitement much like a mystery novel. Major Kay and Anita were very likeable characters and I simply loved them both. The book made me think a lot about the unbearable heaviness of nonexistence. It is a very thought provoking book and I enjoyed reading it a lot. --Okan Zabunoglu, Ankara, Turkey

A challenging masterpiece

The fascinating aspect of the book is that it can be read with different levels of interpretation. The story is but a brilliant façade, which reveals more than it hides the most challenging queries into our deepest beliefs. Our religious, spiritual, and even scientific notions are challenged. It is left to the reader to develop his/her own queries and answers. Is Anita the only one re-living an earlier life? Is there a possibility that we also may be re-living an earlier life? Is there a purpose to all our lives? Will we know when that purpose has been accomplished? Where are we heading? Where did we come from? These and other questions are woven so nicely in this absolutely brilliant book!!

A moving account -fictional nonfiction

This is one of the best reads of mine in recent times. Is it fiction or non-fiction?Difficult to classify --but it blends both very well using a fictional stream of characters and events to attempt an answer to the fundamental theories of creation and First Cause . Prabhu though a science person himself ,feels the answer lies in both science and religion and attempts to remove from our minds the dichotomy between religion and science. He also brings to light the buried philosophy of Sankhya from Hindu religion and draws very good parallels between the philosophies of the Christian Gospel, as well as Taoism .More importantly the fictional stream and format usd to attempt these answers is engrossing .Major Kay(Norm) and Anita are the main characters here and easily among the better "human" characters I have seen in recent times in any fiction. A moving piece all in all with som original thoughts and conclusions --it does not matter whether you agree or not --but the reasoning and logic and breadth of material used is certainly compelling .The book will make you reexamine your conventional beliefs in both science and religion and make you ponder for a long time One expects more from Prabhu in days to come

A Spiritual Odessey

I was raised Catholic and had many beliefs that were difficult to reconcile as I grew older. Anita's Legacy helped me sift through my former tenets and "see" more clearly God's plan. I am indebted to the author.

Captivating

I was moved to tears reading the book. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. Since Snow Crash (Stephenson) this book is the only one I have found that mixed science, fiction, and religion (metaphysics) in such a powerful way. It is a book everyone must have.
