Anne has grown a lot in the five years since she drove from the train station to Green Gables with Matthew Cuthbert, but she is still filled with passion, temper, and, of course, imagination. Her love for Diana, Marilla, and Avonlea itself has grown a lot, too. She, without reservations, can now truly call it home.
As the school year begins with Anne at the head of the class instead of in one of the desks with her schoolmates, Anne's character is tested in ways she never anticipated. She starts her position as Avonlea's newest schoolma'am with her heart full of worthwhile ideals. While nothing really goes the way she planned, it does turn out exactly the way it's supposed to.
