Warburton is a big league pitcher on a losing streak; Brittney Irvin is his estranged young ballet-loving daughter, who wants to help restore his self-confidence and prays for some help. Her prayers are answered - sort of - with the arrival of the late, almost great, Bob Bugler, who must earn his wings in order to become a full-fledged angel. But there is just one hitch. Neither Bob or the other angels he rounds up have played much baseball lately.
