Esoteric Historey Comes Alive

The author has again succeeded in writing an epic novel that is at once both an exciting adventure story on a grand scale, as well as an unusually insightful teaching of high spiritual truths.The story is set in the early part of the 1900s and is simply engrossing. While reading, I found within the pages of this hard-to-put-down book many simple yet profound lessons on practical living, along with the examples of how others have dealt with their spiritual path.Esoteric history comes alive with vivid detail in this epic story, spanning countries and continents, and including secret teachers in India and magical espionage in Nazi Germany.In today's market of new-age authors clamoring for recognition, Bradley's books clearly stand above the many. I believe this book will become one of those long sought-after classics of metaphysical literature that are so rare, even in today's climate of increasing spiritual thought.

Hmmm. A great many surprises in this book

After much speculation about any book that has the word angels in the title, I read it and have to say there is something to this new writer from America. We generally wonder about anything that strays into fiction from the academic realm of proper books, but this particular work just might be okay if historical fiction is your game.It's written well, and the Indian life is entirely accurate, but even at 300 pages, I found it ending too soon. Still, worth the read, if only to uncover what the Sufi life is really like.

The story is set for adventure and mysticism.

From the very first lines of ANGELS IN A HARSH WORLD we realize that Haley Olsten is not an ordinary girl. Her prophetic, yet bizarre dreams keep reoccurring, and a knowingness of something greater yet to come hint of Haley as a very old soul trapped in the body of a young girl in the early 1900s. The story begins in Boston, where we are introduced to a brief history of Haley's birth and her family. With mysterious undertones the story is set for adventure and mysticism. Convinced by Ann, Haley's closest friend and social climber, Haley travels with her to India, where Ann's fiance awaits. The chance to travel, to become independent, is too much for Haley to resist and, with her brother John as chaperone, the three embark on a ship to old Ceylon. The arrival in India changes the mood that has comforted us until now. You will notice that this keeps happening throughout the entire story in what, I feel, is a very clever way Mr. Bradley has of keeping us in suspense and excitement. Now, a crude reality of hunger and poverty awakens Haley to the realities of a declining world. The only thing to keep her going is David, a kindred spirit she met aboard the ship, and in who she found mutual attraction. From here on we travel on a roller-coaster of events involving magic, destiny and murder! Along the way Haley meets a master which she calls J. It was in this part of the story that I found the depth of knowledge and understanding possessed by Don Bradley.His perceptions will captivate you and enlighten you at the same time as you stay glued to the book, which you will NOT BE ABLE TO PUT DOWN until it is over...and you'll clamor for a sequel! Find out for yourself what destiny awaits Haley, and how it will determine the outcome of humanity's struggle with tyranny. You may even find yourself among the pages.

If you want a good read, that has a historical basis, get it

I've researched some of the material in this book, after hearing Mr. Bradley on the talk show SIGHTINGS. Everything he talked about is true! Remote Viewing IS black magic!!Even if the Ellis syndrome of weirdness is still rampant, this book has it all.James

Nothing like this excellent book!

A young woman finds her true path to Enlightenment with special guidance from angels in both the spirtiual and physical world. Through many tribulations Haley Olsten is guided to India in the 1930s where she meets her beloved Teacher, learns how to properly look at life, death, and handle her metaphysical abilities toward the common good, to battle incredible evil rising in the world. A positive novel which proves women can be women yet accomplish great things. Though there are no accidents, everything is predestined to happen, also, that everyone chooses what family they will be born into, and that the being called God would enter the body of a woman in a trance. A fantastic story! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
