Great Private detective series set in Portland, Oregon

Author lives in Lake Oswego, OR. Great characters, fast moving. I read this as a kindle book. Great mystery of course since Jake Brand the main character is a private detective. The next in the series is Secondhand Smoke, I can guess because in this book he quits smoking and lights cigarettes for the second hand smoke <grin>.
