A Queer Retelling of Satan's Fall In an eternal paradise, the most beautiful angel, Lucifer, struggles with shame, identity, and timidity, with little more than the desire to worship his creator. It isn't until the strongest angel, Michael, comes into his life that Lucifer learns to love himself. Along the way, their friendship begins to bloom into something else. Maybe the first romance in the history of everything. But this God is a jealous one, and maybe paradise is not paradise. Contains mature themes.
this novel makes me feel physically sick it’s great. i find lucifer to be such a relatable character it makes me wanna die. he is literally me. this story, the prose, and the themes are all incredibly beautiful. the way love is described is so powerful and it puts into words the way I have felt and never been able to describe. it’s lovely and twisted all at once. i will not say much more because i feel going into this novel blind is the best possible way. even though you probably already know the ending before you even pick it up, the journey to get there is horrific.
