Locoregional anesthesia is the technique of choice in pregnant women, as it limits the exposure of the fetus to drugs, as well as the risk of fetal asphyxia; moreover, it avoids the maternal risks of difficult intubation and inhalation associated with general anesthesia in pregnant women.
