Examines the Spanish invasion of the Inca Empire in 1532 and how European and indigenous life ways became intertwined, producing a new and constantly evolving hybrid colonial order in the Andes.
This book let me say has it all! A really great and easy to read history-type book on the incan civilization and colonial society in the Andes. It's very well written and includes so many interesting and no so obvious details. It's easy to understand and a fast read. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit repetitive throughout the chapters, but for students, that's not a bad thing!
