This is a really delightful book. It has about 60 full-page photos of people living in San Francisco, and most of them have a single page write-up culled from Katz's interviews with them. The pictures are beautiful, all of them seeming to capture the person with an insightful touch. The write-ups (in their own words) are, happily, just the same - they seem to express something deep about each person.... You'll find people of all ages and all backgrounds; the unifying theme, perhaps, is being human, each person being him or herself, which of course San Francisco is known for. If you like beautiful photos of folks and words that make you think with your heart, this is for you!
