Duality

The quality or state of having two different or opposite parts or elements that exist simultaneously or in contrast. Duality is about recognizing that many things have more than one aspect or characteristic, and that these aspects can be in opposition or complement each other.

Whereas duality does not describe an either/or situation, but an understanding that opposites can exist on the same line with many points in between. Light and dark are opposites, but there are many colors in between.

The duality of human nature is the capacity for both good and evil to exist within a person.

In order to know and understand love, then one must know and understand fear or hate. In order to feel heaven, then one must feel hell.

Nothing would be of value if there were not something to compare its value to.

So, we must have poor to know wealth. We must have hot to know cold. We must have high to know low. In a world of love, we must know fear and hate to understand and truly appreciate love. And so, we must have Lucifer to know God.
