AND GOD SAID HER NAME: The curse of the thirty coins

All the facts described in this book are true, the characters exist or have existed and the situations have been real. It is not fiction. It is HISTORY.

Judas betrayed Jesus Christ for thirty silver denarii. These coins are sprinkled with the blood of the crucified and therefore cursed. In this exciting novel, the reader will travel through History accompanying this curse.
It all begins in La Coru?a, when a woman throws an ancient Roman coin into the sea from the top of the Tower of Hercules. She is the heiress of a former World War II fighter, and received, as the last will of the deceased, some manuscripts and a denarius.
Through them, the reader will first learn how the deceased old man found the coin and the papers that accompanied it.
Then he will live with Judas the moment of his betrayal.
He will witness the siege and destruction of Jerusalem in the year 70 and the subsequent conquest of the Massada plateau.
He founded, with Benedict of Nursia, the monastery of Monte Cassino and witnessed its destruction.
He will be moved by the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, will discover America that same year, and will witness the construction and destruction of Fort Navidad on the island of Hispaniola.
He will relive the great Aztec empire with Moctezuma and witness its fall at the hands of Hern?n Cortes as he plunges into flight in the Noche Triste.
With Napoleon he will travel to Egypt and invade Russia.
And finally, he will attend the last three shipwrecks of large oil tankers on the Spanish Coast of Death: the Urquiola, the Aegean Sea and the Prestige, participating in the cleanup of the "chapapote" as part of the "white tide".
Divided into nine different parts, this is the story of the curse that Judas himself placed on those denarii.
Its illustrations and photographs make it even more entertaining and didactic, complemented by 237 footnotes, making it a pedagogical tool of the first order.
And it all ends where it began: in the millenary Tower of Hercules in La Coru?a (Spain) that watches from its height over the murky waters of the Coast of Death as that terrible curse continues to be fulfilled.
