This collection of poems are somewhat like a Homer's Odyssey, in that they are all interrelated somewhat sequentially, allegorically addressing the bizarre brutality of war and the impact on human psyche and on societies. The concepts, views, and language are fresh, creative, brilliant, insightful and often humorous! e.g. "freedom is walking itself on a leash", "Aeneas appears on the reality show", "finally I am the star of my own beheading video", "I hope you don't mind if I wire tap you", "you, there, back behind beginning", ... I wish that a larger Press had published this book - it needs to be marketed/distributed more widely!!
