It all began with a Christmas Gala, a pair of red high heels, a blue-eyed doctor, and a Waltz. Sound perfect? Joy thought so till he up and disappeared. A standalone story with twist and turns but always hope. It was December and the night of the Christmas Gala. Joy finds herself in an embarrassing predicament and quietly sends request for help heavenward. Almost immediately she feels the hand of a man on her back, with an offer of assistance. He has the bluest eyes and the most beautiful smile. Before the evening is over he has asked her to dinner. She thought the man and the evening were perfect until he stands her up and disappears without a word. But that seems to be the way her life had been going lately. Yet in her heart she knows God has a plan for her future if she could just be patient, show kindness, and step out in faith. But there is a limit to her patience, her neighbor is cantankerous, and she has a tendency to be outspoken. Can she do it?
