Helpful, interesting, thorough

This is a great introductory book on the art of the ancient Near East. The British Museum has a fabulous collection, so using that collection as a basis for the book works very well (though of course certain areas where the collection is weak are therefore weak in the text). It's too bad this book is out of print.
