Ancient Artifax (Remastered)

By: Gorsegner, Brian

Ancient Artifax by Brian Gorsegner is a visually compelling 250-page deep dive into the raw, grassroots history of the 1970s and 1980s punk and hardcore scenes. Evolving from a popular Instagram account, this book features hundreds of unearthed show flyers, setlists, original handwritten lyrics, and other impossibly scarce punk rock artifacts. Ancient Artifax offers a highly detailed, localized look at the New York City, Washington, DC, and Midwest punk movements. What makes this collection truly unique is the inclusion of narratives and commentary from the musicians and creators themselves, providing priceless historical context to the Indiana Jones-esq treasures.
