Ancestor Storeis is an anecdotal history of the family of Michael Hoban and Ellen Cronin Hoban, Irish Catholic immigrants who, in 1876, opened a general store in Benson, a Norwegian Lutheran farming community in western Minnesota. It is a collection of personal accounts, news clippings, and photographs about the loyalties, the heartbreaks, the vexations, the welcomes and the wit within the small world of the Hoban daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. This storybook is lovingly presented to the descendants of immigrants, from whatever country they came to America.
